Excellent Package, but depends on which demography you use it in!
This is my review after 1 Month.
Ok, so my wait was finally over and I upgraded from one of the Samsungs to Pixel 3. My daily workhorse however is an iPhone 6. Works like a charm.
So, now about the phone,
I bought it for its form factor.
Coupled with a Spigen case (you get a warranty when the device is used with a spigen case outside India - more about this later)
The Camera is spectacular! Low light shots, sceneries, etc etc! I enjoy it every moment.
Intelligence, hats off! The phone integrated with google services never fails to impress you. For example, while buying the phone, I never thought I would find use for an assistant. These days, I squeeze away the phone to glory! :D Another example is the wind up feature and the list goes on.
Speakers are similar to the iPhoneX. Lows are crisp, mids are clear and the highs play without cracking even at full volume.
Display, “Wow”. Feels excellent to the normal eye.
Fast charger comes in the box
The box also has the c type to USB adapter, c type to audio jack adapter.
Overall, a good package for this price.
Strong demography bias!
USPs that are advertised are available just in the US!
It’s not on this phone. Example: Screen call function doesn’t work in India. The Pixel stand is not sold in India (as on 29.11.2018). This list goes on.
You realise this when you start using and try to figure out how to activate that cool feature you saw in the YouTube review.
Another problem is the accessories. As I said, Pice stand is not available in India. I got this feedback from Google’s support that even if the Pixel is introduced in India, it will not have features such as the sunrise function. Oops! Racist?
The phone heats up within a few minutes of using the camera. At one instance, I checked the temperature with a fluke meter. The temperature was roughly 48 degC. At another occurrence, it was 54 degC. This has not happened in other phones I had.
The battery is a sorry story. I have a full charge when u start the day at 7 am. (No bloatwares on the phone)
1. 5 calls of 5-10 mins each, push messages, random check of whatsapp, emails, LinkedIn etc, battery lasts until evening (10%)
2. Same as above + 10 photographs, battery lasts until 4pm (10%)
3. 1 & 2 with navigation for 30 mins, battery lasts until 1 pm (10%)
4. 1, 2, 3 with YouTube videos for 30 mins, battery lasts until 11am
Ok, now the charging. Fast charger comes out of the box. While it displays “Charging rapidly”, it takes a good 2 hours to full charge from 10%. Mom’s Mi note 5 takes around the same time to a full charge with a larger battery. Now, 25% charge is achieved in around 15 minutes. But, this is a software gimmick. With the same usage, battery dies off. That means, display of 25% on phone may be around 15% actual state of charge (based on app measurements)
So the final verdict:
Awesome camera, average hardware and extremely Racist wrt deployment of features in demographies!
I am dissatisfied with the performance and the differentiation of nationalities.
Btw, as always, enjoy Flipkart! Delivery as always was immaculate.

The main highlight of this phone is it's camera quality, images captured in low light condition with the apk. application, very fast processor with unlimited backup of data as promised by Google, smooth as butter ,touch pad,This image is taken in extremely low light condition,I was unable to see the building with naked eye(was hazy),but with the night sight application, fabulous !

I will get straight to the cons after 5 days of usage
1.battery not that great for heavy usage but fast charger helps
2.phone tends to get hot at the back after 15-20 mins of heavy usage (camera, games etc )
3. Speaker volume is low and mic is not that great during video recording.
You all must be knowing about pros so I won't waste ur time ...
Finally if u are thinking between I phone Xr or Pixel 3 - then pixel is ofcourse better in many aspects...
but if it is iPhone Xs vs pixel 3 then iPhone is the clear winner Apart from camera ?? ...
But never purchase the buyback guarantee. It's either a scam or they want you to put your phone in a locker. Rejected my device for a minor scratch which is expected from a phone that is used for almost 11 months.
