Sandisk Extreme 16GB UHS-I.... an ace already!
By Suchintan Deon
Straight Facts::
-----------------
1. Excellent Build.
2. supplied crystal box---totally ok.
3. In-camera speed(for DSLR and Advanced Point-and-Shoot Cameras): do as it says.
4. shooting continuously with AF ON, 27 images @ f5.6, ISO 800, AWB
5. shooting continuously with AF OFF, 51 images @ f5.6, ISO 800, AWB
6. Video Shooting @ 1080p: smooth like maggi.
7. read speed when importing from camera to computer: 10Mbps
8. read speed when moving from memory card using card-reader: 30.5Mbps
N.B.: Operating System Windows 8 64 bit, USB 2.0,
SPEED could definitely have gone up to 33Mbps if two heavy applications(Pinnacle and Photoshop) were not running.
Verdict::
---------
The card obviously surpasses expectations, a good UHS-I compliant card with extra benefits like RescuePRO software One Year subscription etc.
My Stand:: A good buy, good for Advanced Point-and-Shoot and dslr cameras, burst mode is definitely improved, video capturing smooth. Recommended.
50+ RAW images in a single go! Good stuff, SanDisk!
By Nishant Kapooron
Fast. I clicked 52 18megapixel RAW photos in one single burst on my Canon EOS 60D, and then I stopped; the card/camera didn't.
Recorded countless 1080p videos at 30 fps, all shots being longer than 3-4 minutes. And when I stopped recording, it didn't even take time in saving the file or anything. It was just ready for another go!
Flipkart: Best deal on this card on the internet. It said the item will be delivered within 8-10 days, i got it on the fourth day; includes a Sunday there!
Must buy for DSLR Filmmakers.
Really an extreme performer

I've Nikon D90. I used to use it with Class#4 SanDisk 8GB card. I am impressed once I started using this new card. There is perceptible time difference with this one.
Got this within 48 hours of ordering. Flipkart service rocks, as always!
Good card, but not all machines support its top speed.

Its a good product. If you have a slow "5-10 MB/ second" card, you will see a noticeable difference in speed immediately.
You will be able to record uncompressed Full HD @30fps video easily without buffering needed.
I did some tests:
On an older Sandisk Blue labeled card, it gave me 5 MB/ second or so....
On a 30MB/ second Sandisk card that came with my camera, it gave me around 22.5MB/ second...
On this 45MB/ second Sandisk card, the one I purchased, it gave me same 22.5MB/ second...
Wondering why?
Well, I did some online research and found that very less card readers work at full potential. Most card readers supplied with laptops, even in DSLR cameras, work slower than expected.
Even Canon 5D Mark III gives at most 22 MB/ second speed, no matter which card of this generation you use...
But if you use SD"XC" card then you may get better speeds, if the card reader supports it. Because, it is a new generation of cards, which gives better speeds. This card I purchased is SDHC only, maybe a better performing one, but that performance didn't show up....
It means that a 30 MB/ second card is ok for most of us, and this card by itself does not hold a merit, unless you have capable card readers....
Ask yourself, do you have a comparable card reader in your laptop/ PC/ camera.
If yes, then only get it...
If No, then you can save some money and get a 30 MB/ sec card...
But the card is not at fault, and also, flipkart's seller delivered it well before time... :)
I wish Canon could've given us high speed support in SD cards, or Dell would've given better laptop card reader... but that didn't happen.
Must have for those who have a superzoom cam or above (DSLR)
By Sudeep Chakrabortyon
I am using a sony hx100v superzoom cam and was using the sony supplied 4Gb (class 4) card. Esp during panoramic image and high res shots the amount of time it took to record the media was a bit annoying.
Got this card today (after one week of ordering) and immediately started using it. Burst modes, Panned images and HD video captures are much much faster.
Instead of spending 750 rs on the 16GB class 4 card, spend double and get this card. Expensive but worth the price, not to add the lifetime replacement warranty (which is at least 30 years)
This card will not have the intended effect in point and shoot cams as they are inherently slow. Make sure your cam supports class 10 cards before buying this or it will be a waste of a performance (or might not even work)
This is made for 4G smartphone for smart performance.
