The major reason I chose this laptop over everything else was the i5-8th gen processor.(apparently a Kaby Lake Refresh) cpu benchmark tools have rated the i5-8th generation of having a big performance boost when compared to the previous i5 gen processors.Also comes with 2 ram slots apparently expandable till 32 GB(2x16gb) - not 100% certain.Claims a laptop battery life of 10h 45m in official listing - but i reckon you might get ~6h for coding and photoshop and stuff which is pretty good.Laptop comes with the standard windows 10 pre-installed and has a backlit keyboard.It would be interesting seeing all the i5 8th gen laptops coming out - But i was in a hurry and needed a laptop for work fast. If you are not in a hurry i would advise you to wait 6-12 months and see the varieties of i5-8th gen laptops coming out on the indian market before buying.Cons:No FHD IPS display. - Display will look washed out like most other non-FHD IPS laptops. This is the only noticeable drawback IMO. But i dont really need an IPS display that desperately to go for another brand. HP warranty is pretty awesome - so i would trade the IPS display for a non-FHD one.The laptop unfortunately only supports windows 10 and comes loaded with bloatware like most other pre-loaded branded laptops. Downloading drivers from hp is a real time waster - often i get speed of only 25 kbs(on a 10mbps connection!!) when downloading a 250mb file.

I bought this laptop more than a month ago from a multi-brand shop and this laptop is perfect, the hardware is sturdy made of metal. The speakers are more than average with a software preloaded to change its setting of the sound coming out of the laptop. The keyboard has no flex in it, every key other than the spacebar has backlit LEDs and is perfect for writing. The 2GB Nvidia Geforce 960MX is more than sufficient for light gaming. The CPU has turbo boost feature which instead of 1.6GHz goes over 3.3GHz. There are more than sufficient ports including two USB ports on either side, HDMI, Ethernet, USB 3.0, charging port, headphone jack, charging port and a kingston lock. The screen is clear though, viewing angle is not great. Overall, this laptop is worth the money. Only thing i would have added would be another USB 2.0 port and a larger trackpad. a perfect buy..

Nice build quality... metallic finish.. looks really premium and sturdy.4. Got 940mx 2gb DDR3 ram.. which is a entry level graphics card... can play AAA games in low to medium settings... can play games like FIFA18 in ultra setting with 60FPS.. incase u r football lover like me5. Great heat management6. Average battery life... 5 to 6 hours with 50% brightness and wifi on.7. Laptop bootup time is very fast.(about 10 seconds maximum)8. Really nice backlit keyboard.. comfortable to type on.CONS:1. Screen IS ABSOLUTELY MEDIOCRE its not a full hd display... looks washed out and u can even see pixles .. expected at least full hd screen at this price point... its a crime to make 15.6 inches laptops with just hd(1336*768) display....so if u dont mind looking at a crappy screen,,, u can go with this product.. its an excellent product at this price point... i got this laptop as replacement of my hp laptop(which had motherboard problem)... so yeah.. hp customer service is awesome!
