Gorgeous Display
By Kalyan Mon
all hp ab series laptops look exactly same with differing configuration. At this price, you will get laptops with better config. What makes this model standout is it's display. It has a full HD IPS display (Note *IPS). IPS is mentioned in online spec catalog but not in spec sheet present with the retailers. As i bought the product i can assure you it's an IPS display which means true colors and very good viewing angles than the traditional FHD display on other laptops. I think it's worth the money as you can extend your ram anytime later and get similar performance as other laptops. So yeah, go for it!!
Best laptop under 50 k...
By Krishna Gopal Sikdaron
Awesome laptop. Perhaps the best in its class. The full hd display and B&O sound just rocks. It comes with a 4gb ram. Its eenough for day to day use. Gaming experience is superb. Gpu handles this quite well. But the best thing is you can better its performance by adding an extra 4gb of ram. For this one ram slot is left vacant. The ram can be increased upto 16gb.
So the verdict is it is the best performing laptop under 50 k.
And great service by flipkart too. Got it delivered 3 days prior to the expected date.
superb laptop but diappointment delivery service from ekart
By Sri Ram Prasannaon
laptop performance is great, battery back up in hp recommended will be at least 3 hrs, processor works great but heats up, camera quality is reasonable, back lite keyboard really helpful in dim light or dark . no problem faced till now regarding hardware, value for money and superb hd screen which gives memorable experience with 1080 but cannot differentiate 1080 and 2160. Ram performance is great with seamless experience
negative: ekart did not delivered to location which is agreed at time of purchase and heavier compare to other laptops of same category
Highly recommended

If you are looking for an entertainment laptop, stop your search.... This is it! With an unmatched screen, this is sure to keep you hooked.
My only concern with it was that it lagged (a lot). It can be fixed by adding 4gb extra ram but the performance isn't what you want it you use heavy software. All in all, a must buy just for its screen at this price.

Too slow !
Great laptop with stunning display
By Amazon Customeron
Bought it from Amazon. Firstly, let me mention that specs wise it is one of the best in the 50k range. HP 2016 models in this range have HD display, but this is full HD. Pros:1.Great display. Absolutely stunning. It's not just the resolution, which is just a number, but the quality of the panel is superb. Other laptops have screens which are either too glossy or have too much glare. This is perfect.2. Ergonomics: The laptop has a good body. All metal construction, so no fingerprints. Of course, it isn't comparable to a MacBook, but it's good.3. Backlit keyboard is great.4. Performance: It's what really matters right? Well, after two weeks, it does lag a bit, mostly while browsing with many tabs and while installing software and games. I know Intel processors beat AMD ones at benchmarks (talking A10 vs i5) but I guess 4 cores do make a difference at simple tasks. Add another 4 GB RAM stick, if you need more juice.5. Gaming: Gaming is smooth, at medium. Games I've tried:Far Cry 4, GTA V, Firewatch, NFS Most Wanted (both) and Rivals, Superhot, PES 2016, Fallout 4.All run fine. At low to medium settings, there's minimal lag during gaming. Most 3-4 year old games run at high, but the laptop heats up quickly. Play games at med.5.GPU: Geforce 940m isn't exactly a monster. But it's the best you're gonna get in 50k and probably 60k range.6. Finger Gestures: I know these are common to all Windows 10 and 8 laptops, but these shortcuts work like 8 out of 10 times on this laptop, which is better than most.Cons:1. USB ports: The two 3.0 and one 2.0 ports are a tad loose. My hard disk gets disconnected, even while slightly moving the laptop. But if you have good cables, this shouldn't be a problem.2. Wi-Fi: Normal Wifi works fine with no hiccups whatsoever, but I often face errors in Connectify. Not sure if it's a software or hardware issue. It gets resolved on restarting.3. Touchpad: You can't play games on the touchpad. Yes, I've tried disabling all features on Synaptics. I've rolled back the driver and on doing that, even though the touchpad and keyboard work together, all the gestures are disabled and right click doesn't work. So use a mouse for gaming.4. Opening the lid isn't very smooth and I face some resistance while doing so. The display and keyboard joint too is average.5. Heating: It does get a bit hot after 2-3 hours, but it's not unbearable. Only one vent is present at the right, and the right side gets quite hot sometimes. When running on battery, always switch to Power Saver mode.6. Battery life is average. You can get a maximum of 4.5 hours during normal use at lowest brightness. Again, it is probably better than a lot of its competitors, except for maybe ultrabooks.7. DVD drive is a bit flimsy, bit you've to travel back in time to use it.8. Windows 10 Home: Let me get this straight. I believe Windows 10 is the best OS ever made. Its beautiful ( maybe not as much as OS X) and offers an unusual level of customization to a normal user like me. But the home variant lacks the Group Policy Editor. You can get a third party gpedit.exe on Google, but it will lack many components like App Deployment. This is necessary for running Quantum Break, so don't download that game.Useful Tip: Don't try editing registry or using gpedit to turn off automatic update downloading. You can simply turn it off by opening Windows Store and then personal (don't remember what it's exactly called). You'll find an option there. I would recommend downloading and installing updates, especially version 1511 of Windows 10, since performance increases significantly with each upgrade.9. B&O speakers don't live up to the expectations. I find the system volume too low and on the higher side, it's distorted with no bass.10. Weight: It is a bit heavy, especially compared to ultrabooks, but then again, it's got a bigger display, DVD drive (if you need it), expandable RAM and removable battery, features which most ultrabooks and even some laptops lack. I know I've listed more cons than pros, but most of them are insignificant. It's a great laptop, although it's an year old now. I just mentioned everything I felt about this laptop. The only laptop which beats this at a lesser price, is the Asus r558ur. But it has just been released and you should wait for detailed reviews of it.
