I brought this Dell laptop in April 2016 but in June 2016( ie 2 months later) the battery is not working . When contacted the dell website it says that the laptop was sold in September 2015 . I have only 3 months of warranty left instead of the usual 1 year. I have come to the conclusion that This seller has sold me a second hand product in-place of a new products . I have been cheated so who ever thinks of buying s from this seller be very careful

The problems I faced while buying the product. 1- I got SMS that item has been delivered before 2 hours of Item delivery to me, which created panic on my side, I raised a complain to flipkart. 2 - Received product in good condition, packaged well. But the invoice is wrong one, the serial number on laptop is different than serial number in invoice, raised a complain to Filpkart. There could be either wrong item delivered to me or wrong invoice.I talked to customer care they sent updated invoice. 3- The product described as there are 2 RAM slots, I wanted it to upgrade RAM to 6GB/8GB,so I talked to DELL technical guys to help on this matter, but I came to know the laptop has only one RAM slot. I talked to Flipkart customer care, they said that they will replace the item and ensured that new laptop will have 2 RAM slots. 4 - Received the laptop, but the packaging was not so good this time. but the laptop is in good condition, talked DELL technical guys to upgrade RAM, they said again laptop has only one RAM slot, so you have to remove existing 4GB ram and have to buy new 8GB RAM, which will cost some 7K. So raised a complain to flipkart, they said they will take escalate the matter and resolve the matter soon. So my question to Filpkart is description is wrong ? or you are delivering wrong item to me ? My suggestion to buyer is please ensure that you got your item as described I bought this laptop thinking 2 RAM slots and So I can easily upgrade it, my decision would have been changed to buy other laptop. So as a whole I got frustrated, wasted time talking with customer care executives , and thought never to buy any costly item on-line.

Its been six years with Dell Studio 1535 and its been great. As the life gets busy, workload increases, it was time for another laptop for my wife for her projects. Priorities were sturdy build, decent computing power, little lighter, good battery life and price under 30K. Gone through all reviews and specifications from all possible products from different manufacturers through flipkart and official product websites. Some of the points are as follows. Why not touchscreen? Good question. Most of the touchscreen laptop under 30K comes with intel CDC or PDC processors. I wanted to have current generation processors which are more power efficient. Many people have reported sluggishness with PDC and CDC even without touchscreen. Some has even reported that many high quality videos don't play at all. I have lots of full HD videos from handycam so wanted to stay away with these processors. Furthermore, many have reported touchscreen issues after upgrading to W8.1. However, I believe it should be fixed soon by MS, if any. So that zeroed in to only two options Asus X200CA with DOS and 3rd Gen i3 and Dell Vostro with Ubuntu and 4th Gen. i3. I had almost decided to go for Asus for its much lighter weight, smaller screen size and price tag. But there were just couple things against it. First is the color. We have only white color for this model in India which I thought would make it dirty very soon. And second is battery life. Many people with similar Asus models of 12" displays have reported battery life of couple of hours for moderate use. I guess this is expected as it is just 1.2 kg in weight. However, it was a bit low for us. And a minor thing was build quality and wifi connectivity. Nexus7 I have has very poor wifi connectivity so little skeptical about that. But many people have reported excellent build quality of this laptop. So finally ordered this laptop and received in couple of days. No need to pay extra for one day delivery. As for the title of this review, here it goes: Build: Studio any day, much sturdy. But its heavier by a kilo and bulky too. In absolute sense, Vostro build is decent enough to carry to office everyday on a two-wheeler. Portability: Vostro for the reason mentioned in build. Looks: Subjective. Studio more stylish but Vostro has nice texture. Performance: Surprisingly Studio is little faster of course by its rated speed of 2.1 GHz vs 1.7 GHz of Vostro. But not noticeable in routine tasks. Keyboard: Vostro keys are separate with more distance between them. I guess its just a matter of time to get used to it. So far Studio keyboad has been a good experience. Touchpad: Studio has smaller touchpad so not much finger movement is needed. Vostro needs more movement and more pressing. Display: Vostro is better with widescreen and anti-glare. Brightness could have been more. Also 14" seems to be just right for us. I think 12"/10" is not that comfortable. Heat-up: Studio does heat up with high clock speed and core2 duo. With 4th Gen i3, Vostro runs much cooler. DVD: I like slot-loading DVD of Studio better than the tray one on Vostro. But Vostro has the advantage that it can play small DVD. I could not load small size DVD on Studio. Downside of Vostro is that you should be cautious when carrying the laptop by hand. try not to lift from the side of DVD tray, it looks as if it may come out. Battery: Advantage Vostro with 4th Gen i3. People have reported 5-6 hours, I am yet to test but initial usage looks promising. Studio has 2.5 hours. Weight: 2 kg for Vostro vs 3 kg of Studio. Dedicated switches: Studio has dedicated wifi switch and touch keys for volume and player. I wish Vostro had them too as I use them frequently. Rest of the things are more or less the same. Personally I would pick Studio anyday as I only use it at home. But since my wife takes her laptop to office, Vostro fits well with light weight, less bulk and good battery life without compromising performance. Btw, it runs smooth on W7 as well. Only hitch being we need to download drivers from Dell website as they don't provide installation disk at all as it comes with Ubuntu. Hope my long review has been helpful to you. Cheers!

With all these specifications, it was the cheapest at 28k (after a discount of Rs 4000/-). Very good and simple laptop with VFM performance. But as nothing is perfect, let's discuss the bad thing first. Cons: 1) Plastic quality is very basic (seems to me the greatest cost-cutting factor). All matt finishing including the screen gives it a dull and plasticky look. Also, the color is not black but GREY. Only the keyboard part is black. Look at some more images and you can distinguish the black keyboard from its greyish surroundings. If you need something to flaunt in college/ among friends rather than using it often; go for something shinier. 2) No lights: not a single light even to determine whether the machine is ON or OFF (if you don't look at the screen), no light for HDD access indication, no light for wireless ON/OFF indication. The power button also never lights up though it has a small LED like something on it. At the first look it feels like the LED behind it is defective. But after watching some youtube videos and ordering another laptop for my friend confirmed the fact that DELL might have forgotten to place the LED below the power button even though the designing team left the scope for one. You got only one single LED in the whole laptop at the bottom right corner which is lighted when the AC adapter is plugged in and also for a brief 5-10 seconds when the machine is switched ON. 3) The USB 3.0 driver is not available in DELL website. It was a hard time making the USB 3.0 port to work after a lot of googling. 4) The DELL touchpad driver and application keeps on crashing in my Win7 64 bit. So forget those multi-gesture controls like zoom-in/ zoom-out and scroll, if you are planning to install the same OS. 4) And of course the missing HDMI port may trouble you if you are planning to connect it to your 65" UHDTV! PROS: 1) The biggest being the price range without compromising quality (though with a little compromise in look and feel !) 2) Forget the worry of getting fingerprints with this all matt-finished machine. 3) The DELL logo engraved in the lined/ ribbed lid comes up well despite the overall dull appearance. 4) Comes preloaded with UBUNTU for those LINUX lovers. 5) Buttonless touchpad. The buttons form the part of the touch pad. 6) The BIOS is pretty advanced as most of the 'things' like webcam, card-reader, USB, microphone etc can be disabled from the BIOS setup itself. So, the next time you don't want your friend to spend endless hours in your laptop chatting with his girlfriend, just disable the mic or webcam from the BIOS and relax........Let him break his head over installing and reinstalling all the drivers available in a google search!! The BIOS also have an advanced diagnostic tools in a good GUI navigable by mouse and supports UEFI boot, in case you want to install Windows 8 and later. 7) Free Mcafee antivirus for 15 months. But don't install it from the CD give with the laptop as the same is going to be replaced with a newer version when you will register the program and update it. 8) Finally, at this price tag one can't ask for more- a 4th gen i3 processor, 4 GB RAM, 2GB entry level dedicated nVIDIA graphics for gamers, decent display, DVD-RW, HD Web Cam, USB 3.0. And let's not forget the DELL embossed TARGUS backpack you are getting completely free; which would have cost you another 1000 bucks!

Hello, i have ordered this product on 18aug and delivered me on 21 aug. But provided anti virus is already expired its last date of activation is 9 aug 2014. Flipkart is providing expired antivirus. This is why people dont prefer online shooping. These site deliver anything ,means i dont understand what is the meaning of providing expired antivirus. If flipkart guys have some responsibility than please read this comment and replace the antivirus CD or in your specification please mention that you will provide a expired antivirus.

I had bought this laptop on 16th May-15, I will clarify my own few doubts which I had before buying the product which can help others too.1.Can we install windows 7A-Yes, all drivers are available in DELL Website, NVIDIA Drivers can be downloaded from NVidea site itself. THe site automatically detects the device and provides you the required file.WIFI etc works fine.2.Is the Graphics Card included?A-Yes.I was amazed to see that in this budget a laptop can have NVIDIA 2GB Graphics Card but it is true :). I have successfully installed and played Call of Duty Advanced Warfare.Let me tell you this game requires 6gb of ram (Laptop has 4 gb Ram ) but still you can run it and runs smoothly 90% of time. All games which requires 4gb ram will work butter smooth.3.Heating issuue?A-While Playing game it gets little hot which is so common, I have observed same in all the laptops which I have used.So no issue.Conclusion-Best for who does not want to compromise with budget but want to play games. You can always upgrade your ram in future to meet requirements of high end games.Graphics card wise there is no issue.

The package looks tempting. Decent features at a good price. Hence I bought it. Looks all right, for me it does not really matter anyways.Now onto the product review:1. Really bad screen - I have a 7 year old Sony, and that still looks far better than this.2. Keyboard - Pathetic - absolutely pathetic. In only 3 months of moderate usage, some of the keys have malfunctioned, some are on the verge of springing out3. Touchpad - Again, horrible, does not work well.4. Speed - Saving grace for this laptop - it works well enough5. Battery - Good backup, lasts about 3-4 hours on an average6. Speakers - Decent enoughRemember its not always about the price - I got this for 25k, but because it is utter useless - I might end up buying another one, with decent specs and that means this 25k is literally down the drain. If you are a casual user - then you can still buy this, but if you are going to be somewhat of a power user (say 3 hours everyday plus need to type quite a bit) then it is definitely not for you.I would not recommend this at all.

Got this laptop at 26600. I think its a nice laptop at this price with dedicated graphic card. Light weighted, Looks is Simple and Sober. Fast Processing based on my work. games like Devil may Cry,Assassin Creed, Ran perfectly, NFS shift was not so smooth, But i think for a laptop at this price range its quite good. Loved it, Now lets Talk About System Drivers, this laptop officially support only windows 8.1 x64 bit and Ubuntu.So you can install Other Windows version but drivers like touch pad might not work. I am Running Windows 8 x64 bit and Installed drivers using Drivers Pack. So now it is Working fine. You won't get Any Driver CD with this laptop. All i got was This Laptop, 1 Dell Bag, 1 Macaffe Antivirus CD, Adapter. All i can Say its Quite good Laptop. Those Who are considering to buy this may go for it..

At this price the product is GREAT! I got it delivered after 7 days from the date of order. Packed very well, I got the product in a very good condition.U can find Ubuntu when u power your laptop. If you are a Ubuntu lover then its OK.. If not u must work a little to install windows and find perfect drivers.Pros: Good product at this price. Better graphics Not too heavy Good audio No issue about heating Good battery backup under NORMAL use. Overall a good performer.Cons: The screen is not HD A slight sluggish performance because of its just 1.7ghz i3 processor Touch pad make some noise if touched hard.Since it doest get heated under normal use (Note: But Heavy games can heat it up) u can try over clocking up to 2.2ghz to get a better performance out of the i3 4005u processor. Overclocking software is available in Intel website.Handle touchpad softly.U can run even heavy games like Call of duty advance warfare under medium graphics smoothly. Recomended highly for home and office use. Specs thirsty guys like me might not be satisfied with the 1.7ghz processor. But you can be sure to get a really good performance. Considering price you cannot say any complaints.

Well, i m happy i made this purchase. No issues with warranty. Got the full 1 year ADP onsite warranty.Regarding the laptop, compact, light weight and nice looking machine. Performance is pretty good too.Battery backup is sufficient. And Dell support is very nice. I would suggest this laptop if you have a budget constraint.There are some issues with trackpad.. It sometimes becomes unresponsive. But it should not be a deal breaker. Go for it!
