The laptop spec was too good for 16.5K. - :D500GB HDD - Very good. - :D2GB RAM - Very good. - :DHD Webcame - I didn't receive this laptop with inbuilt webcam (I will explain how amazon compensate this) - :SDisplay 15.6" - Very good. - :DDVD/CD - RW - Very good. - :DIt's weight-less and slim - Good - :)4 cell battery - Max of 2.5 hours battery backup - OK - :|Built-in speaker Sound - Quality is OK - :|System gets slow when I run multiple task, as it has a normal processor (1.5 GHz - celeron - 1 processor) - :(Only two USB ports. - :(Coming to the laptop webcam. I realized after two months of purchase of this product that there is no in-built camera but it was mentioned in Spec. I called up Amazon and explained my problem, initially the 1st person took my call didn't understand my problem and behaved soooo stubborn saying there is no in-built webcam mentioned in laptop spec. I was fed-up with his conversation and dropped. Then I took screenshot and sent email and informed someone to contact me. some other person called me and said they will do full amount refund(even after two months of purchase, can you believe? - AMAZON is AMAZING), then I said I don't want to return this laptop and get refund, so they agreed to give some amount instead. I was not satisfied with the amount they said so I disagreed and asked to external webcam and I said I'll NOT pay any extra amount for that. They agreed and I ordered Logitech C270 HB webcam.

A no-frills laptop for lightweight use

I bought this laptop for my dad for light MS Office work and internet browsing. Yes, I could have put in a few thousand rupees to get double the performance. Yes, I could have bought a laptop with better aesthetic design. But if you are clear about what exactly you will be doing, look no further than this for lightweight tasks. Best purchase I have made on Amazon till date!Pros:1. Killer price. I got an extra bonus discount because I bought this during the Happy Hour, more than satisfied with Amazon's pricing.2. Very light to carry. Extremely portable and easily fits into the bag without weighing it down.3. Black finish with logo on the top looks amazing. Looks like a premium laptop.4. Laptop adapter is compact and light weight. Many laptops come with bulky power adapters,so this was a welcome surprise.Cons: Keeping in mind the need of your laptop, there's not really much to complain regarding the performance, boot time, graphic cards, etc. This laptop is the perfect example of "What you get is what you pay for". However, I found a few general cons which I feel should have been taken care of by Asus:1. Shockingly low grade touch pad. The left and right keys are not clearly marked, you have to press the left or right corner down to achieve a click. Useless for navigation on the web, get a mouse without fail.2. Laptop adapter is not a three pin one. It slopes down when connected to the socket and I always get the feeling that it may fall off the socket any moment.3. Both USB ports are placed very close to each other. Okay, many laptops have this design, but many laptops have an isolated 3rd USB port which is away from these two on the opposite side. No such USB present. This forced me to order a USB hub, because a USB dongle will eat away space for the other port. Two large pen drives are impossible to connect.Verdict: With a few adjustments, this laptop is a perfect companion for lightweight tasks. Absence of a graphic card and low-range processor is enough indicator that programmers, designers, gamers must avoid this laptop. Best suited for office environments and people who need to carry their work around all day.

Hi, i m reviewing after a 1 year. So now you now this laptop is working perfect. Cheap for price. Only issue was that it was in DOS. You have to hire engineer to get OS or windows install. Beside this is a perfect gift and good for home home use.

this laptop is good...i bought it in june 2014...and since then i m satisfied wid the performance...It can also handle heavy software...and the configuration is also good as compared to price....the cons with the laptop is that its battery bacjup is too bad....and battery life is also not good...within 5 months its giving the message to replace the battery and shutsdown by itself....also body of laptop is not strong so you have to handle it with extra care...

Although I bought this laptop from a retailer at a price similar to that being offered in Flipkart, this product is worth every buck! It has the best specs in this price range including Pentium Quad Core Processor, which ensures smooth multi-tasking, and a battery backup of more than 5 hrs. But it does not have a dedicated graphics card, so is not ideal for gaming, which does not really bother me as I bought it as a backup laptop. So if you're looking for a budget lappy for everyday use, this might be exactly what you need...!

Handy laptop for the everyday essentials

It's a compact laptop which does everyday functions like web browsing and documents neatly just like it's bigger counterparts with a decent battery life and much better ease of use.
It's a bit over-sized than other 11.6 inch devices but it's thinner and the design makes it feel comfortable to carry around.
Though not impressive it won't let you down on the music and video side as well.
It gets slow once you add demanding applications to your kitty, but understandable given the hardware limitations.
It's biggest pro is the handiness with a decent,though not impressive, performance.
And snapdeal delivered it in quick time and at lowest price.
