bios is not updated

the bios (Basic Input/Output System) is very old. As you this system comes with dos operating system that means you have to load with windows or linux. lower versions of windows like xp,vista,7 basic iit is not problem. but when you want load windows 7 home premium or high version they wont load and a you blue screen say it is not acpi(Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) compliant bios. so if don't know how to update bios you feel sad and unhappy. so best solution buy laptop already loaded with win7 or win8 if your not even slightly techie.if you are techie go http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=X551MA&p=3&s=557 and select os and download latest bios doe wnload th bios into flas drive and unzip it http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/X551MA/X551MAAS510.zip and when system starts press f2 go for "intstant flash update of bios" a new screen appears and select the source and upload bios ur problem is solved

Although I bought this laptop from a retailer at a price similar to that being offered in Flipkart, this product is worth every buck! It has the best specs in this price range including Pentium Quad Core Processor, which ensures smooth multi-tasking, and a battery backup of more than 5 hrs. But it does not have a dedicated graphics card, so is not ideal for gaming, which does not really bother me as I bought it as a backup laptop. So if you're looking for a budget lappy for everyday use, this might be exactly what you need...!
