It's not that cool......

If we talk about the performance, it's good but there are certain features that could annoy you. First of all I would like to mention that the sound quality is very poor. I haven't seen such degraded audio quality earlier. Despite of what they called SONIC MASTER, you'll be highly dissapointed with the sound quality. Secondly, it has only two USB ports and both on the same side. You can only use one of them because they are very close to each other. You can't plug in a mouse when you are using an internet dongle.
LED is good, battery backup is satisfactory (but not more than 85-90 minutes). Overall it's an average product and I am fine with it if its price is to be considered.

A very good machine at this price. The machine has a good finish and it is not very heavy despite having a large footprint.
The microphone input and the speaker output are combined in this machine which would make it incompatible with old headsets having separate leads for microphone and speaker.
The onboard speaker output is rather subdued affecting the overall quality of the sound but that is acceptable, unless you are very finicky about audio output. A set of external speakers might do a better job (haven't checked it out yet).
I have worked comfortably on softwares which have been a bit computationally intensive on my Intel Atom based Netbook from Asus and therefore, I don't see any problem running such softwares on this machine which has a 4GB RAM on board and an i3 core processor.
Though I feel there is scope of improvement, I recommend this machine who are looking for a good configuration within a tight budget.
Excellent service from FlipKart (WSRetail). Delivery done on a Sunday. The only problem I faced was trying to figure out the offers made by Flipkart on these machines which I found enticing as well as confusing.

2) Great feel and experience.
3) Excellent built quality.
4) Classy display.
5) Light and Slim.
6) Nice keyboard and trackpad.
7) Good day to day performance.
8) Windows 8 out of the box.
9) Fast boot up time.
CONS:
1) Poor port selection and placement. ( 2 USB ports that too can't be used simultaneously)
2) Poor speakers and webcam.
3) Not meant for hardcore gaming. ( COD, BF, etc. )
4) Poor battery life ( approx. 2.5 hrs )
Battery is bad and shuts off without warning

I have been using this laptop for about 1 and half years now. The battery started giving issues after about 6 months of use. Now it shuts off without warning and if I am not connected to power, the maximum time I can work is 15 minutes. When I perform the ASUS battery check, it says the battery is working fine. I have a similar bad battery experience from ASUS fonepad 7 (bought through another e-commerce site) which is just 1 year old.
I have been totally disappointed with the product and would never recommend ASUS products.

Decent laptop

It is a good value for money with more than adequate display, the processing power and the storage at this price point. However, the battery of the laptop is not upto the mark and does not last beyond 30-45 mins on full power. You can limit your activity and stretch it to an hour. So that is a negative point as it limits the use of the laptop on the go, unless you have access to a charging point.

Since, it has been hardly 3 weeks for its purchase, much more is to be explored in the product. The laptop bag did not match the expectations, because it has manufacturing defects. Rest is ok.

Delivery was excellent.Laptop is sleek & lightweight.Battery back up was only 20 minutes initially and by continues charging and discharging fully, now getting almost one hour backing.No drivers are supplied by manufacturer which may not be a big issue.Laptop is meant for normal use and sufficient for that, no big graphics.

Very Light body, Having old version windows 8, poor battery backup, poor sound quality. windows got stuck in update mode. i will never recommend this product to anyone but Thanks to Amazon Quick refund policy. I got the refund back same day when returned the laptop.
