Asus X102BA - is an extremely underpowered laptop whose processor is just not capable of handling even basic tasks when running Windows 8. The laptop was unusable and it took 4 to 5 seconds even time I clicked or swiped the touchscreen. It became moderately responsive only when I changed the settings to "optimize for performance". Even then, basic operations also take a lot of time. Changing windows, opening task manager etc also take anywhere from 5 to 10 seconds. Only good thing is the availability of touch screen but its a pity when the laptop is just not able to handle the expected workload. You cant even dream about gaming when even basic MS word is stuck all the time. 2GB RAM is just not enuf when it comes to running Win 8. DONT make the mistakes of installing Windows updates. I installed updates for about 1.5GB and the system performance went from bad to worse.. If you want a 'somewhat' usage system, just use the laptop as is without any changes to OS.
I tried installing Ubuntu as the last resort but it seems that the BIOS is programmed to boot with Windows OS image and it doesn't allow you to boot another OS. :-( The only option is to have dual boot and retain the dumb windows 8 to make the system usable.
My verdict: Don't be mesmerized by the low price and the touch screen. This laptop is just unusable. :-( Not what I expected from a company that's world no 1 in motherboards.

Is exactly what it is, as described by the seller. Happy with the on time delivery. Price of the product is fairly priced. So basically no complains. Extremely happy with product.

Product is good at this price range. At this price range you will get more than expected. Touch panel is responsive and touch pad also very responsive on multi finger touch. No noise at all. battery back up is around 5 hours if you are just browsing and watching youtube. Key board is good to use and noise free.

Browsing internet is sometimes painful with this slow laptop

The laptop is light and compact but, as most of the other users have mentioned, it is awfully slow! It is okay for viewing movies. Browsing internet is sometimes painful with this slow laptop. Multitasking is a big no-no with this computer. I wonder if there is a way make it faster. I have tried to uninstall/deactivate a few built-in programs, but it did not help much. ASUS should provide helpful tips to the customers here.
Worst laptop in the world !

The worst notebook in the market ! It's slower than a snail. I'm returning the product. It can't even perform basic tasks using this device. It's not worth your hard earned cash ! I'll definitely ask my friends to stay away from this product. Amazon by the way did a great job in delivering the device well before the promised time! Good job Amazon in that and I am definitely looking forward in shopping from Amazon !
