Really Nice

If you are Reading this review you pretty well know what to expect from this laptop. It's not a extreme preforming laptop designed for heavy multi-tasking. Its a normal office genre laptop perfect for engineering students who are leaning computer science. If your really want a performing laptop you should better buy a one with intel-H series laptops(like core i5 8600H, or core i7 7700HQ, or core i7 7700HK etc). This is not a gaming laptop.
Let's talk about the keyboard: Typing in this one is pretty good. Thanks to the Superior build quality of the keys, they have a nice tactile feedback for key register and doesn't feels delicate. But no led indicators on the Caps Lock and Num Lock key makes it harder to keep track of what's going on.
Now the Display: Display is okay, considering at this price, "Colour accuracy is good" but only in one position, "Not very great viewing" angles, actually very poor I might say and when you are rotating the screen backwards there is "significant" blue shift , whereas while moving forwards the colours start to fade "significantly". No colour shift while moving left to right or vice versa, plus point to asus for that, overall you have to adjust more on the forward to backward rotation .But at this price trade-off are there. Actually the brightness is nice and easily visible while sunlight falls on it cause the roughness on the screen material helps in reducing the glare. And by roughness I don't mean it is not smooth, I mean that It kind of work less like a glossy surface, reflecting every light hitting it. No HDR support.
Trackpad: Its is one of the best, I have ever used. As smooth as a screen of any phone, but no dedicated button for left and right click which makes it somewhat difficult to use on the go. It supports gestures which is nice.
Sound: Set of stereo speakers are on the top of the keyboards and they are upward firing. Quality is nice, for a average user its perfect, cause their amplitude is high enough.
I/O: Big tumbs up to ASUS for incredible I/O, I mean ask for it. Every possible I/O, Ethernet, DVI, HDMI(1.2 maybe), SD crad reader, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, "Headphone Jack", and USB type C. They've crancked everything. Also, also a CD/DVD writer.
Boot up times or application launch times are slow, but you can easily over come it if you upgrade this hard drive with a 7200RPM hard drive which speeds up things significantly.
Summing up, laptop is nice but not good, it is okay if you are a programmer, and comes with trade-off but at this price point, it is okay. But if you are a gamer you should better buy a one with a dedicate graphic card and a 4 core processor, doesn't matters if it a i3, or i5.
