Got it on sale for 72990 INR in May 2018. I have tried Halo 5, Forza 6, Prototype 2 and NFS run. All games ran without delay or lag. Will try crysis and updates soon.
Update 1 - After using the device for almost 5 months - Performance has remained same as new. I have used it for watching HD movies and play Fortnite, Draghtnaut, Crysis 1, Crysis Warhead, Halo Wars 1 and Halo Wars 2, also used it for processing huge Excel sheets - No lags.
There are lots of bug in the OS - Windows 10 leading to no internet access once in a while on Firefox and other browsers. HAve to Reset the Network Connection to make it work which takes about 2 minutes and has happened twice till now.
Screen - bright enough for sunlight usage but not bright enough for gaming under the same.
Keyboard - Great Response, but not a very great option for gaming where the slightest of pressure needs to be registered without registering a wrong press.
Sound Quality and Mic - Tried it for Skype meeting - Speakers did not play any sound from other party on skype although everything else played on the system could be heard and other team members were able to hear the other party on Skype meeting at the same time. Mic and Speaker has great clarity.
Refresh Rate - 60Hz at 1020 and upto 144Hz at lower resolutions(1024 and lower).
Battery Backup - Normal use - 4-5 hours, max - 6 hours. Gaming - 1 hour to a max of 2 hours - Depends on game and power settings.
USB ports on the right are not well spaced and both of these ports cannot be used simultaneously unless both are slim horizontally. Wireless Mic on USB 2 + another USB 2.0 device cannot be plugged on the right.
USB C - Tried to use the USB C port for Charging - Did not detect. Other uses yet to be tested.
Metal Body - Fingerprint and smudge magnet.
Charger Wattage - 135W - The product description here says it to be 180W though.
Exact Model Name - PH315 - 51 - 72UL

Excellent Gaming Laptop, Usually it was priced around 1 lakh, Every now & then it got huge price discount, So watch out for it, I bought this laptop(i7 8th generation, 8GB Ram,128GB SSD + 1TB HDD, 4GB Nividia Geforce 1050Ti Graphics card) for 72k on Big Shopping Days, The product was well packaged & got delivered within 1 day. Pros; IT GOT 1080 FULL HD IPS DISPLAY, which looks great. Now coming on to Perfomance of this laptop, This is the beast on all Mid Range Gaming Laptops out there, You can easily play AAA titles from Medium to Very High with 60Fps, It got two grpahics card Intel UHD 630 & 4GB DDR 4 Nividia 1050ti graphic card the gameplay was awesome, It also has 128GB SSD along with 1TB HDD, The boot up of the laptop was very fast.If you are a guy who loves to play gaming and want to render 4k videos, This laptop is the best choice. The laptop gets pretty heat while you are playing heavy games, Thanks to its cool bost technology, The laptop gets cooled down within minutes, I recommend you guys to use Predator Sense Application & if you are planning to play long time just turn on max mode & the fans may make some damn noise, But it gets the job done by keeping your laptop heat under control. The sound quality was huge with no bass, its kind of like just flat tone. CONS; The battery life on this thing is average, It would last around 3-4 hours if your are just surfing & watching some movies on it, 90 mins for intense gaming. I really hope that battery level on this thing would have been much better; Apart From that this laptop is best. Just go for it, If you get this laptop around 70-80k, It's a steal deal.
It is first day. I received the product today 4PM and un boxed the laptop and started setup by following user manual. All looks good. But after 1 hour of usage display became stopped , after restart it is showing blank screen (not even predator logo).
I am trying to return the laptop.

The laptop was in the black acer predator cardboard box having the spec list and price markings. No extra flipkart cardboard box.
The laptop was ordered on 11th and delivered on the 15th.
After powering on and doing the initial window setup the laptop installed a few updates.
The design is solid and a good mix of metal and plastic.
The predator markings along with the red lines give it an aggressive look.
You will surely get some attention when you use this beast at a public place.
Performance is great for games and general use.
Register your device on acer support to get extended warranty and stuff.
Screen is great and does not reflect the incident light much due to the matte finish, although is not bright enough for usage under the sun. Viewing angles are great.
Battery life is 1.5-2 hours for playing games that use the Nvidia GPU and 4.5-5 hours for browsing and watching movies.
The laptop heats during extensive gaming sessions at high/ultra settings (Upto 90 degree centigrade), which is too hot to touch.
Using MSI afterburner and the Nvidia experience app I found out that the GPU was outputting upto 140-150 FPS on a display that is 60Hz so this means that the GPU output was being wasted along with the battery and hence more heat was getting generated.
Since the display is 60 Hz, I have capped the max FPS of the Nvidia GPU and of the on-board intel GPU to 60 frames per sec to prevent unnecessary load on them as the screen can’t render more than 60 frames per second so the frames output by the GPU aren’t wasted. This has reduced the heating and improved battery performance. Also turn V sync on in the individual game settings to cap the FPS at the refresh rate of the monitor. You can also limit max CPU performance in windows power settings to 99% or below to eliminate thermal throttling.
I may undervolt the CPU if heating problem persists but after capping the FPS, the games which I am currently playing run smooth and without excessive heating.
To get the best gaming experience you have to use the laptop while it’s plugged in which I think is the case with any laptop if you are playing games on it.
Sound is great via the in-built speakers as well as the headphone jack. The dolby tuning and sound monitoring app is great. Use headphones for immersive experience during gaming.
Boot up and shut down times are less than 10 secs.
The red backlit keyboard looks awesome during night and is helpful while using the laptop in darkness.
Both the SSD and HDD have excellent read and write speeds. I am playing games from the HDD and the load times are great.
We can upgrade the SSD, HDD and RAM if needed later. Prefer a nVME SSD while upgrading as it is considerably faster.
I removed the bloatware apps like candy crush etc from the laptop on day 1 as they drain the battery and load the CPU.
Limit the apps which can refresh in the background in settings and only allow the essential apps which actually require constant updates like mail or social media or weather.
The webcam and mic is good for skype/messenger calling.
Typing experience is quite good during browsing/social media but I would recommend using a separate keyboard for gaming to get that comfortable leaned placement of the hand on the keyboard which is not possible on a laptop keyboard.
I got this for Rs. 64990 during the sale which is a great deal for a i7 8th gen laptop having Nvidia 1050ti GPU (Marked price on the box is Rs. 120000).
I’m using a cooling pad and wireless keyboard/mouse combo while gaming. The built in dual fans are sufficient to keep the laptop cool during normal use.
I am playing GTA V, Road Redemption and Hitman: Absolution, PUBG at high/ultra settings with 45-60 FPS which is quite comfortable and smooth for the eyes.
For my casual and on-the/go gaming, watching movies and browsing as well as office work like mail and spreadsheets this is a great laptop.
I prefer my PS4 for the heavy gaming as you can’t expect great battery life from a gaming laptop and for the full performance you need the laptop to be plugged in.
Hardcore or pro gamers may find the 144Hz model with the 1060 or 1070 GPU (which I think is available in the US) more suitable for their specific use. But you can buy or assemble a gaming PC in that budget with even better specs as battery life is the main limitation with these gaming laptops.
I hope this was helpful.
Will update this if I have anything more to share regarding the laptop.

Thermals are disaster and looks like a cheap laptop other than the predator logo. Only good thing is the display. Whats the point of good specs if not usable. due to heat. For gaming throttlestop is a must or it burnd for sure.
