Soon after I opened the Philips GC1022 2000-Watt Steam Iron (Pink) and used it, water started pouring out through the power chord at the bottom. Was shocked and called Philips India Customer Care at 18601801111, they told me that it’s a faulty product and water should not pour out through the power chord at the bottom. Very disappointed in wasting time, money and energy in the whole process. Cancelling the order.
Poor wiring, dangerous!

Almost as soon as I got it the cord got black and teal coloured marks. I couldn't figure out where it came from and it just kept getting worse. Yesterday it suddenly burst and when I went to get it fixed, we realised the insulation or coating on the three wires inside the cord had simply melted and that was teal,black and white. Such poor quality wiring. Quite dangerous too.

Good product. but the product information did not specify the size of the plate of this 2000 W iron . I thought it was a larges sized ironing plate but it was the same size as the irons of 450 W or 800 w. Not a very attractive deal.
