Bajaj Induction cook - Bad customer service
By Arulon
Very poor response from their customer service, if We call the toll free number they redirect to local store, and if we call the store they again asked to call the their toll free number. I am getting IRRESPONSIBLE answer from their call center person.
if there is a possible rating of negative I would rate it to -3. just for the stake i gave 1
Not the best option
By Kshitij Dixiton
I have bought the Bajaj Majesty ICX 6 WOV Induction Cook Top. I am impressed with its rapidly heating capabilities. But, there is a major flaw in its design. The Induction Stove stops heating as soon as it reaches its maximum temperature. As the Stove reaches its max within 1-2 minutes, nothing can be heated beyond that time, thus cooking becomes very difficult and unsatisfactory
No issues till now
By Subhasis Rayon
The cook-top seems to be working fine till now. This is my first induction cooker, so cannot do much comparison. It has the general pros and cons of any induction cooker. Lack of fine control over temperature is one problem.
Other than that, you can utilize it efficiently with a bit of trial and error. The things that took some figuring out (the manual is not sufficient, it skips a whole menu item):
1. You have to choose one of the preset cooking modes to get it to start. There is no manual mode where you can directly specify temperature and time. You get control over temperature in the "Fry" mode.
The temperature goes from 90 C - 120 C - 140 C up to 220 C. Induction heating works much faster than conventional stoves. So I find it easier to manually turn it off and then back on to fine-control the heating to my requirements.
2. Use utensils made of compatible material: this is a big issue for beginners and most of the negative reviews are due to this.
a) Any material that is attracted by a magnet should be heated by induction.
b) Cast iron: this is perhaps the most underestimated material for cooking nowadays. But is cheap and works excellently with induction. It becomes non-sticky if you wipe it with fat or oil and heat it (search the Internet to find out how it works). Only problem is that you do not get it in fancy malls.
c) Ordinary stainless still also works, but if the base is not thick, it gets overheated and may bend (or crack) due to irregular expansion. Boiling food is easy, but frying is very tough in such containers as food tends get charred.
d) Utensils meant for induction cook-top: these are multi-layered utensils with thick bottom with a sieve of ferromagnetic material in the bottom layer with a good heat conductor like aluminium on top. These are very good for use but are expensive (simple aluminium material with steel bottom starts at around five hundred rupees). But these can be used on regular stove as well.
It's better if you don't buy this product.
By Chitresh Jhawaron
The product's cool in looks and everything but the major problem with this is it gets overheated so quickly.
One cannot even make two omelets in a row on this. After you make one, an error, 'E2' comes up which means you need to let the cook top to cool down before you start making anything else.
I tried cooking so many things but every time in between the cooking, I've to stop for 2-3 minutes so that it cools down.
A cheap china made induction cooker is better than this.
Save yourself some money, DON'T buy this piece of garbage, the product's a fail.
Value for money and good offer from Flipkart
By Ritam Biswason
I purchase the product few days back and as usual delivery from flipkart was excellent. It was delivered before time (within 2 days) and the packaging was excellent. Also in flipkart the product is priced at least Rs.700 cheaper than that in the retail chains. Thanks to flipkart for the excellent and quick delivery.
Now about the product -
Pros - 1)Quick heating (I guess it takes less time than a normal stove)
2) Hassle-free operation
3) Easy to clean
Cons -
1) If you don't have induction ready utensils then you have to buy them just for this induction cooker (note that the normal range of pressure cookers and other utensils may not work with induction cookers)
2) I checked this product in a retail outlet and was told that the maximum capacity of this product is 4 litres. So if you plan to use this for excess of 4 litres, then you may think twice (however, I have not yet tested the product for excess of 4 litres so I am not entirely sure of this point)
Overall, this a simple and easy to use device and its quick heating capability makes it a favorite.
Bajaj ICX6 Induction Cooker - Value for Money

The product is real value for money and has all the basic features for daily use. Would highly recommend the product if you are thinking of buying an induction plate.
The Product was delivery on the day as promised. I'm happy with the overall service.
I prefer Bajaj electrical apparatus
By Sun on lineon
I used Bajaj ICX6 model during last Two and half years. Its light, easy to use but not compatible to many metals or alloys. It worked nice for about two years and thereafter started problems. Bajaj service centres are rare in Kolkata. Still I purchased a new Bajaj ICX6 for its improved features and trouble free operation.
