Amazing iron. No drawback I found. Simple tip is that when you use it on dark colour cotton materials. . Don't put the setting on cotton or else it will leave that shiny effect on uneven surface like top n pocket area of the pant and sewing creases. . Just put it on wool. Use water thrower ( I don't know exact name) and steam setting to level 2.

ABSOLUTE GARBAGEI bought it in Nov 2015. Leaving a review after almost two years.I used it less than five times during Nov and Dec 2015. Then it started leaking water. Got it repaired/replaced under warranty. I didn't use it for a few months and it was sitting idle. Then a few months ago I took it out to use and it was spilling and dripping BOILING water along with steam. It was just plain DANGEROUS to use it. After that I used it with the steam setting off.I will be contacting customer care this week. The only good thing is PHILIPS offers TWO years warranty.Will never buy another PHILIPS iron EVER!!!!!

An excellent product from Philips, works like a charm, had no trouble in using it except for the fact it uses a 15 Amp pin instead of the regular 5 or 6 amp pin which will have some issues when you dont have one readily on your wall.. But thats doesnt mean that its a issue, as its marketed with that and no surprises. The product deserves a full five star.. Got it on a flash sale.. Happy for the price i paid!! Thx Amazon

Appropriately heavy sole plate and the high wattage makes ironing of linens and heavy cottons quite easy.Havent given 5 stars as iron is only two months old and will need to evaluate longer term performance.Solidly built and possibly the best iron one has used.The size of the plug is a non issue, just get a adapter.
