First of all, the product was delivered right on time by Flipkart. ?? The summer heat was strong and the fans were needed urgently. As always, a Crompton product is one of the best. The fans have given excellent service these past six months. Ah, but then fans are expected to last decades long. We got the fans a little bit expensive at Flipkart, but then summer heat was at it's peak and fans were nowhere available I the market.

Horrible experience with Seller & Flipkart both

Had a horrible experience with Flipkart this time. I had been hearing bad reviews about them for quite some time from my friends & colleagues but still against my better judgement & after a long long time I decided to use their services for this order. Had placed the order on 9th April and was assured of the delivery by 20th Apr (Paid in advance as well). But the order was not dispatched even till 19th April. I called up Flipkart but I was not provided with the specific reason for this easily avoidable delay & was given a standard response to my query "Due to some technical reasons the delivery is delayed" of that issue has been escalated to the team and someone from their team would contact me to discuss it further (which I never received). So after my reminder and follow up calls, the order was dispatched on 19th April & delivery date was postponed to 22nd Apr. At first, the seller took 10 days to even ship the product and when he did, it reached inventory hub nearby my locality on 22nd Apr 5:35 AM. I called up Flipkart and asked them to deliver the product on 22nd since it had already reached the nearby depot I was assured by the customer care that the product would be delivered by 22nd evening. But despite my repeated reminder calls to customer care the product remained at the hub throughout the day of 22nd. I waited the whole day for the delivery but Flipkart was inconsiderate & incompetent enough to do anything about my concern and the product was not delivered even till 23rd April 12 pm. After calling up again on 23rd April (when I was again provided the same standard response of the some technical reasons crap & that some1 would call up to discuss the issue further - again no calls from anyone from their team this time either (Kudos to the training of their customer care representatives - Flipkart should be very proud of them), I was informed that the issue be resolved till 27th April (Imagine my disbelief and horror). I was hoping to receive the order on 23rd atleast since the product had been lying idle at their hub since 22nd early morning but noooooooo, how could I expect the GREAT Flipkart or their esteemed courier service provider to do anything for their customer. I mean let's face it, these guys are running into billions of dollars every year so why would they care about a customer who has spent just 1700 bucks of his hard-earned money to shop at Flipkart? So, these guys took the liberty to keep the product to lay idle at their hub from 22nd to 24th April (despite the delay caused by the seller which led to extending assured date of delivery from 20th to 22nd already and my frequent follow up calls & emails) and just sleep on it. I mean they had already been paid well in advance for the product so had the money in their kitty, so why the hell would they bother about the delivery..right? Well that's what their attitude and action showed to me. Finally when they took out a little bit of time from their very busy schedule to deliver the product at my doorstep on 25th April noon, I observed that one of the wings was damaged and had been bent a bit more than the usual, but I did not have the patience nor the time or courage to ask Flipkart to exchange (I mean I couldn't be that stupid enough to seek Flipkart's help again when they clearly showed they are least bothered about their minion customer) & asked the local electrician to rectify it somehow before plugging it in So guys all I can say is that am greatly disappointed with the way the seller, Flipkart & courier service provider handled this case of mine. All my friends and colleagues have switched over to other E-retailers because of the inconsiderate and sheer incompetency of Flipkart (I don't blame them for choosing other e-retailers coz in future I am likely to do the same). Flipkart have their products priced highest amongst all other e-retailers and charging us for delivery as well...but still not delivering the products on time. This has been one of the worst experiences of mine and they have really tested my patience. I don't think I would refer Flipkart for buying anything in future. Regards (A troubled customer)
