This is the second 2TB WD HD I bought in a month, because the earlier one was so good I gifted it to someone special. Nice HD, no need of external power source, portable, Speed around 40-50 MBPS at USB 3.0 which is sufficient for me, as I am more concerned about storage space than with speed. A little bit heavier compared to Dell's 1TB HD, but not a big concern. WD Elements fits in my palm. There is also a nice LED which shows when the HD is working. Comes NTFS formatted.1.81 GB space available. Register it on WD for warranty as soon as you receive it. I was actually thinking of buying WD Passport, but then I researched the data of two years back and found that WD elements has a better chance of survival than WD Passport. And like always, dont go for paid reviews. Try it yourself and see for yourself. WD is the brand preferred by most system professionals for some reason. But Flipkart service is way better than the HD itself. In terms of both price and quality, as well as reliability, there is hardly any other service out there. Flipkart customer care is awesome, friendly and VERY cooperative. Simply the best shopping experience you can ever have. All the best.

Just finished transferring backup from my seagate 1 TB HD to format the long ailing HD ( ailing but functioning for last 3 years) to this newly purchased drive, As soon as the Seagate drive completed format the WD drive too gave away, now banging my head against the wall why I trusted WD with my data. HAd a bitter experience in past too with WD & again now. The study which everyone is quoting may be true for industrial/large scale use but now for personnel use. Please I would recommend Seagate any day for home users.
