I dont understand why flip kart encourages this kind of cheap sellers spoling the brand name.

The BSNL EVDO Prithvi UE-100 works perfectly with this router. Just update the firmware to latest from the website.
In Quick Setup :
a. Just select the BSNL which has Dial no. #777 after selecting the country India
b. Then manually set User name n Password; leave APN blank.
The range of this router is short , but can be used as or with a repeater.

I purchased this router recently from Flipkart and as always, got it delivered before expected. Thanks Flipkart :-)
Now, regarding the router. I tried with my iDEA netsetter and it worked fine for me. But when I tested it with a LTE dongle (AirTEL), it provided me a bandwidth till 8/9 Mbps, whereas the dongle itself is giving me a speed of 20-25 Mbps Downlink and more than 10 Mbps Uplink.
Any configuration changes required to support it or it has a limitation with it? Don't know where to ask.

I called TP-LINK customer care support they closed my ticket by saying this router won't have any support for Carrier free USB modems. But that is not mentioned anywhere before buying..
BSNL EVDO teracom modem is not supported

I've brought this for connecting my BSNL EVDO teracom modem and am not satisfied by this... It dosen't support it and says modem is unknown. I'm still waiting for firmware upgrade for this router from tp-link website. Mostly huwaie modems are supported but not the teracom one.

The Wireless port acts the same as a LAN port while at 3G/4G Router mode.3) WISP Client Router: In this mode, the device enables multiusers to share Internet from WISP. The LAN port devices share the same IP from WISP through Wireless port. While connecting to WISP, the Wireless port works as a WAN port at WISP Client Router mode. The ethernet port acts as a LAN port.Till today, I have used the device in Mode 1) & 2).The device does not be build-in battery.It has one RJ-45 and USB2.0 port and a Power supply port.The device supports Wifi 802.11bgn.The first mode, the Standard AP mode works great.As for the 2nd mode i.e. 3G/4G router mode, I tried both Aritel 3G(E173Bu-1) and Airtel 4G(E3272s-927) dongles from Huwei.The 3G dongles works for me, but the 4G dongle does not work. From what I read, the 4G dongle draws a lot of power that the dongle can not supply from its power supply.Regarding Airtel 4G dongle support:-----------------------------------------------------I have contacted the TP-Link customer(toll free) care regarding the 4G dongle support, They were eager to help me at the beginning. They suggested that I should downgrade the firmware from "mr3020nv1_en_3_17_2(140610)" to "mr3020nv1_en_3_14_2_up(120817)" to be able to support the said dongle. They sent me the firmware through email. I then downgraded the firmware. It was working for like, may be five minutes or so after the downgrade. But then it stopped working, I could never make it work again. I read so many online forums/threads, I tried, tried tried so many different things to make it work.. but to no avail. I gave up trying to make it work with the 4G dongle.The TP link customer care stops responding to my emails also:(

Excellent repeater, usb router, and lowest power used

I already had tplink mr3420 as main router but one of my ground floor bed room was not getting signals bcoz main router is set on roof, so i purchased this 3020 router for use as repeater and it work excellent, it also used with a powerbank for 5-6 hours and can work as stand alone usb router with a dongle or cable internet, there is no need to change any setting on main router when this router used as repeater, it can be used as repeater with android phone's hotspot too, so i can start hotspot on my phone and keep phone on roof (3rd floor) for better network signals and then i keep thia router at 2nd floor as repeater, and voillaaa..., my entire house have decent wifi signals and i can use my phone's hotspot at any room in my house. I considered tplink as cheap chinese brand before, but after using two tplink routers, i can say tplink is excellent in quality and durability, great future and easy to use, i thorw my 2 old netgear router in garbage...excellent service by amazon and excellent product by tplink, i am open to answer all questions if any one need help, reach me at parimal_ajudiya (AT) hotmail (DOT) com

wonderful device,updating firmware to dd-wrt is simple process & works great - it allows use of usb flash drive and ext. hard drive in addition to usb dongle .but reverting back to original firmware is multi step process.
