Awesome - 1. Delivery 2. Range 3. Speed 4. NAS hosting and in many aspects. Very happy to use this product. I buy and do researches on almost all the high-end routers and in my view this router is just best. I do any kind of R&D(s) on this router from VPN and remote access to DDNS. Installing DDWRT packages, hosting NAS anything. Such a rugged design and product quality. This, router is not just for basic use of DLNA/Internet. You need little more networking knowledge to use all of it's features. But, whatever you do you can expect the best and quality output. No break in signal on any of it's transmission bands.

Having bought this router after doing a lot of research and also recommended by wsj, the router arrived in a spick and span excellent packing by Netgear. The installation with my wired PC went of swiftly , BUt , when it came to wireless devices, and all of them Apple brand, I could not connect even one.Took support help three times and after spending almost 4 hours with the netgeat support team , I was asked by the Netgear team to return the router as the above mentioned issues remain unresolved. I was not very happy with the Indian Netgear support team, through the toll free telephone , but the chat support team were well versed with their job. Also was disappointed with the Return process of flipkart , as after giving my request for Return , I immediately got a message stating that I will get a call around 22 hours later to confirm / validate the return. However I am now awaiting the replacement and will add to this review as and when I am ready with it .

I'm only a month into owning this. I end up buying a new wireless router every 18 months to take advantage of the newer technology, increased range and fatter pipes (bandwidth support). Also, manufacturers of older models stop rolling out firmware updates to their older models---putting your security at risk. Over the last 2 years, I have purchased the following brands: DLink products, Netgear and Asus. Netgear and Asus are my preferred brands, but for this purchase, I've made a great decision picking the Netgear Nighthawk product. I went ahead and purchased this model based off of reviews I read online. The range is great, but the software, like any router OEM, needs work. (e.g. link to check for updated firmware always says nothing available). Also, I've never had to reboot it---which is shocking in and of itself. So far, I'm very happy with it. The Good: 1. Super fast, no connection problems. When directly next to the router speedtest.net resulted in about 120Mbps hardwired and wireless (i know right?!) This *just* shows this router's wireless can deliver hardwired speeds on most home networks ****Your actual speed will vary depending on your ISP, I pay for very fast internet through Comcast)**** 2. The VPN client is also a nice feature, most of the time you have to flash aftermarket router firmware or set up a VPN client on your network. 3. Management is super easy for the less experienced user (assuming the Netgear Genie doesn't crash on you - see below), and the network was up within seconds. 4. Definitely a looker, gets a lot of comments (mostly "what is that?!") but i think it looks super cool. 5. You can flip a switch to turn off all status lights (except power) so they don't light up your room at night.
