After plenty of research & comparisons between different types of brands, the Bandridge digital optical cable came out tops. The cable is of high quality & comes securely packaged with each connector getting a protective cap to prevent damage of the optical cable tip (which you can put back on incase you are stowing the cable away). An optical cable is really an optical cable, & there's nothing much to it. So its pointless spending thousands on those costlier ones when this does the same job at a much much cheaper price. Have successfully connected my Smart TV (audio out) to my Sony Amplifier & the sound quality has improved by leaps & bounds.
