Update : I am not sure whether Amazon sent a unit that was partially faulty or whether it became faulty after few days of usage. Nevertheless the AC unit is malfunctioning pretty bad. The Compressor shuts down within couple of minutes and sometimes even less than a minute, and it creates a loud slam/bang noise when it does so. It has stabilizer and MCB trip installed, yet it kind of trips of shuts down abruptly.Emits a foul burning grease/oil smell when it send cold air for few minutes, indicating some fault.And yes, it's kind of obvious to say it's not cooling because of very short cycles.See the video attached for that gunshot bang noise.Unfortunately, the Voltas Techs are playing games by trying to sell Stabilizer and whatnots, but not addressing the actual problem in the AC.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The unit is not sufficient to cool a 100-110sqft room quickly. It takes almost an hour to even the temps, let alone chill at 35-37c temp.The remote is a huge gimmick! Beware ,only very few functions are usable as the remote is universal so the remaining functions are intended for their higher end ACs.For 20k inr, I don't feel like complaining a lot but however I regret buying this unit.Piece of advice : If buying a window unit ,always go for bigger capacity. Window ACs are quite noisy and energy hogging so if you go for a bigger unit, it'll cool the room quickly and shutoff compressor for more duration.Conclusion: Buy this only if you are strictly limited buy budget, otherwise go for bugger and better unit, as this is very basic and cooling is very moderate.

Genuine product. Low star rating would good enough if does not need to run AC for more than 2-3 hrs/ day. It also gives me good feeling as I did not roam over from stores to stores to get my requirement and best price - it is lowest in Amazon.Post purchase support from Voltas is also good.All of these have been fulfilled while just sitting in home/ office. Delivery by Amazon was on time 5/5AC - cooling is decent for small room, will get to know of power usage when bill arrives. 3/5Installation - voltas guys are THUGS.I was away while the installation guy called , so i did not think much and asked them to come over as my parents were at home. Charged 1500 to just fit the ac into the pre designated spot and two pieces of wood to pack the sides.

I bought this product in April 2018. The installation done through Amazon was terrible - they behaved like they were doing me a favour by installing it and asked for Rs 900 instead of Rs 500 as I had been told. The a/c however works quite well.When the 6-monthly free service was offered in end-September, I called Voltas to specifically ask for a company technician, thinking that was a better option. After fixing a date and time, the technician did not arrive. When I called the service centre to ask where he was, they said so what if he hasn't reached yet. Then I spoke to the technician who again behaved like he was doing me a favour by coming 1 hour late. He spent 10 minutes doing the "service" - washing the a/c filter and dirtying my bathroom. He said the coil was clean and didn't need cleaning. And left. I told him about a noise and a bad smell (like a wet cloth) that comes sometimes. He said neither was coming at that time, and so wasn't bothered about it. I wasted the first half of my only weekly holiday on this nonsense. I will never buy a Voltas product again, nor recommend it to anyone else.
